Robbers hit woman in face
Police crime tape
The two robbers grabbed the woman by her hair
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was punched in the face on a supermarket car park.

The 30-year-old woman was hit by two men who were trying to steal her bag, in the Asda car park at McGarver Way, Ellesmere Port, on Monday.

As she strapped her 18-month-old daughter into the car, the attackers pulled the woman's hair before hitting her in the face.

The pair stopped when another woman shouted at them, and ran off empty-handed.

Cheshire Police say the woman and her daughter were shocked by the ordeal.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the attack, to contact them.
