Viduka set for return ![]() Marko Viduka: Complained of emotional stress Runaway Celtic striker Marko Viduka is expected to be given the green light to relaunch his Parkhead career on Wednesday barring further medical problems. The burly Australian is keen to join up with the Scottish champions at their training camp in Spain next week after recuperating at home in Melbourne. Viduka has spent the past month with his family and received psychological counselling after fleeing Glasgow complaining of emotional stress following his £3m transfer from Croatia Zagreb. But the player's representative Bernie Mandic has confirmed that providing medical opinion deems him fit enough both mentally and physically, the 23-year-old will fly to Malaga next week. "We will find out officially tomorrow what Marko's current state is," Mandic said. "But he is certainly very keen to play again soon unless he is advised otherwise. "He is looking terrific and he is keen to meet up with the rest of the players at their training camp in Spain." Mandic added that representatives of Viduka's management group in Britain have now been charged with handling his reunion with team-mates who he trained with just once before quitting Glasgow on December 5. "We are waiting for notification from Celtic about where the camp is," he said. "I let our London office know last night that we needed them to give us that information and for Celtic to make the appropriate arrangements." |
