Flash Harry: Young prince shows his style

Posing for pictures at the Swiss resort of Klosters, 14-year-old Prince Harry jumped a snow hill in the Swiss Alps.

The prince landed without any unfavourable comparisons to Eddie the Eagle Edwards - even though he was wearing short snowblades and not using poles.

Prince Charles, 50, jumped before his son, using normal skis and poles.

"I suspect age - youth - has the advantage," said the heir to the throne.

The pair were skiing on the Gotschna mountain above Klosters, reported to be the Prince of Wales's favourite ski resort.

"I hope you all noticed I've got a new suit on," said Prince Charles, wearing a grey ski suit, a jaunty blue and white handkerchief tied around his neck and a pair of slick mirrored sunglasses.

Harry plumped for a fashionable all-black ski-suit, over a bright red fleece, and wore a black baseball-style hat bought during his skiing holiday last year at Whistler, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Prince Charles described the snow as good for skiing and added that he would be sending a postcard to his other son, William, 16, who is with friends in Scotland.

The royal skiing party expect to be allowed to have a private holiday in return for the photo opportunity given on Tuesday.

Skiing with Prince Charles and his son are Tiggy Legge-Bourke, 33, Prince Harry's former nanny, and friend Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, 27, often seen at fashionable parties in the pages of the London Evening Standard newspaper.

Zara Phillips, the Princess Royal's 17-year-old daughter is also expected to be joining the holiday.
