Uzbek girl murdered for sale of organs

An Uzbek court has sentenced two men to death for murdering a young girl and selling her internal organs.

Uzbek state television said the two men bought the eight-year-old Russian girl for five-hundred dollars from her mother, described as being unemployed.

The court in Samarkand heard how the men rented a flat, killed the girl in the bathroom and sold her organs to an unidentified person.

The mutilated body was dumped in the river.

The mother was sent to prison for twenty years.
