Congo reshuffle after scathing UN report
The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, has announced his first cabinet reshuffle since he took over the presidency after his father was assassinated in April 2001.

Three ministers who were recently named in a critical United Nations report on the country have not been reappointed, and their portfolios do not appear in the new list of ministers.

The report alleged widespread illegal exploitation of the Congo's natural resources.

None of the Ugandan or Rwandan officials implicated by the UN have so far been removed from their posts in their own countries. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service
