Reports from Malawi say a warrant has been issued for the arrest of a former cabinet minister, Abdul Pillane.
Mr Pillane was sacked from his post as Works and Supplies Minister on Satuday, to allow an investigation into corruption allegations against him.
Mr Pillane is the first cabinet minister to be fired and investigated by the Anti-Corruption Burea, set up by the prime minister in l994 to stop corruption.
