Human rights workers in Cambodia have protested at the continuing imprisonment of two colleagues following riots in the southern town of Sihanoukville last month.

The violence was sparked by allegations that industrial waste from Taiwan dumped in the town was toxic.

The two men, who say they were only monitoring the situation, have been charged with robbery and the wrongful destruction of property.
