Monday, January 4, 1999 Published at 22:07 GMT World: Africa FIFA suspends Cameroon from international competition Soccer's world governing body, FIFA, has suspended Cameroon from all international competition, following a ticketing scandal which surfaced during last year's World Cup in France. In a statement, FIFA said it deeply regretted the move but had no option but to take the drastic action. FIFA has accused the Camerooon Soccer Federation of not applying an emergency plan to deal with the ticketing scandal.
