Rocket attack on Somali bus

In Somalia, at least thirteen people were killed when an anti-tank rocket was fired at a bus in the southern town of Baidoa.

No-one has accepted responsibility.

But the town has been the focus of clashes between rival militias for some time.

Relief agencies have warned that this could prevent them delivering food to thousands of people in need.

In the capital Mogadishu, overnight curfews are to be imposed and unauthorised weapons banned in an attempt to eradicate what the authorities call banditry and lawlessness.
