The rebel Kosovo Liberation Army says it's setting up its own radio station and news agency to provide information about the situation in the troubled Serbian province.
The rebels said the radio and the agency would give expression to the desire of the ethnic Albanian majority for independence from Serbia.
The BBC Belgrade correspondent says the KLA is entering a crowded media scene in Kosovo, as both the Serbs and other ethnic Albanian newspapers are stepping up their media offensive in the hope of influencing international opinion.
The correspondent adds that the KLA is trying to counter a campaign by the Yugoslav authorities to have it placed on an international list of terrorist organisations.
