Sunday, January 3, 1999 Published at 16:12 GMT World: Africa UNITA denies knowledge of UN plane crash TO FOLLOW ANGOLA UN PLANE A spokesman for the UNITA movement in Angola, Isaias Samakuva, says his organisation has no information about the circumstances surrounding the downing of the UN chartered planes around Huambo. Mr Samakuva, speaking from Paris, said he had contacted the UNITA leadership in Bailundo and they had no information about the crash or possible survivors. He denied reports that survivors of last weeks crash were being held hostage by UNITA.
