2 more Chinese dissidents jailed

Two members of the outlawed China Democracy Party the CDP are reported to have been jailed for nine months on suspicion of involvement with prostitutes.

The Hong Kong-based Information Centre of Human Rights and Democratic Movement in China said the families of the two -- Han Lifa and Cai Guihua -- had been told they'd be detained until July.

Both were taken into custody last October.

The Information Centre has accused the police of making up the charges to smear democracy campaigners.

Three leading CDP members, Xu Wenli, Qin Yongmin and, Wang Youcai were jailed last month for lengthy terms on charges of attempting to overthrow the state.
