Palestinians rally in Gaza

There's been a rally of four thousand Palestinians in Gaza City to mark the anniversary of the founding of the largest Palestinian group, Fatah.

The group was established by Yasser Arafat thirty-four years ago to fight Israel, before joining the peace process in the 1990s.

Mr Arafat marked the anniversary with a speech in which he said the Palestinians would honour peace agreements and urged Israel to do likewise.

Israel has frozen implementation of the most recent Wye River accord, accusing the Palestinians of violations.
