Colombian suspect arrested in case of murdered children

Police in Colombia have arrested a man suspected of murdering twenty-five children who were found in two ditches in the western city of Pereira.

The head of the investigation has said the suspect, Pedro Pablo Ramirez, had a record of sexual offences.

The eldest of the victims was sixteen, and at least half were under ten years old.

Parents with children missing have beseiged police stations for information of their loved ones and police are re-opening the cases of eighty child murders in the region.
