North Korean defects to South
Reports from South Korea say a North Korean man has arrived in Seoul seeking asylum.
The thirty-three-year-old is a factory worker who had been living in hiding since leaving the North in August 1996.
About two hundred North Koreans have defected to South Korea in the past three years.
All complained of severe food and fuel shortages in the North.
