Two generals of the Polish secret police are to be retried for their alleged role in the killing of a dissident priest, Jerzey Popieluszko, in 1984.
Generals Wladyslaw Ciaston and Zenon Platek were aquitted in 1994 due to lack of evidence, but an appeals court revoked the verdict two years later.
The generals will now have to answer additional charges, including falsifying evidence against the priest and inciting one of the killers to assault another clergyman.
