Palestinian-American charged with supporting Hamas


A Palestinian-American man suspected of giving money to the militant Islamic group, Hamas, has appeared in an Israeli court in a Jewish settlement Beit Elin the West Bank.

The military court ordered that the man, Jamil Sarsour, be remanded in custody until the end of his trial.

Mr Sarsour is accused of transferring funds from the United States to the armed wing of Hamas He denies the charges.
