King Hussein leaves hospital after five months

King Hussein of Jordan has left hospital in the United States where he's spent the past five months being treated for lymphatic cancer.

In a message read by his brother, Crown Prince Hassan, on Jordanian television, King Hussein said his doctors were satisfied with the results of his tests.

On his sixty-third birthday last month, the king said he'd been cured of his cancer, but he agreed to undergo a bone marrow transplant to ensure it wouldn't recur.

He's to return to Jordan via Washington and London.
