Holiday company bans 'moaners'
Beach
The company say about 50% of complaints are unjustified
A holiday company in Middlesbrough has produced a contract for holidaymakers advising "professional moaners and freeloaders" to stay away.

The document, issued by Siesta Travel, claims that people making unjustified complaints in order to recoup the cost of their holiday are increasing costs for genuine holidaymakers.

The contract says: "On every coach or aircraft there are inevitably one or two who seem determined not to enjoy their holiday nor they feel should their fellow holidaymakers enjoy theirs.

"This may be human nature but such people are impossible to spot prior to their holiday, and therefore sometimes we - and you - are stuck with them."

Cat claim

Customer services manager Mike Hearn said: "The worst time of the year is September and October when our holidays drop in price.

"It's strange that the people who pay more for the holidays tend to complain less.

"We've had a woman try to claim her money back when she cancelled her holiday after her cat died."

He said that the number of unjustified complaints "about 50%" made it increasingly difficult to deal with the justified ones.

The company is currently training staff to deal with complaints as they happen.
