Tuesday, December 29, 1998 Published at 07:15 GMT World: South Asia Bangladesh to host D-8 summit in March The Bangladeshi government has announced it will host the second summit of the D-eight developing eight group of nations in March. The two-day summit will be preceded by a meeting of the foreign ministers of the eight predominantly Muslim countries. The D-eight, which groups Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey, was launched last year to promote economic and trade cooperation.
