Qatari TV criticised over Iraq coverage

A Qatari satellite television channel has come in for strong criticism from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for its coverage of the American and British bombing of Iraq.

The Kuwaiti Information Minister, Yusuf Al-Samit, accused the Jazeera television channel of being biased against Kuwait, and said it was a channel for rehabilitating the Iraqi regime.

And the Saudi newspaper, Al Yawm, said the Qatari channel was disseminating fabricated reports so as to spread confusion.
