Missing divers found safe
Graphic
Lifeboats, helicopters and coastguard teams made searches
A search for three divers, missing off Troon in Ayrshire, has been halted after they turned up on the shore.

The three were spotted on the surf line at Barassie beach and were assisted from the water.

The medical condition of the divers is still being assessed.

Clyde Coastguard had been searching for the divers after they went missing earlier on Sunday.

Lifeboats, helicopters and coastguard rescue teams were involved in the hunt, which focussed on the harbour area.

Decompression

A SeaCat service from Belfast was held outside the harbour, while the search was under way.

In separate incidents, three divers were flown to Aberdeen after they surfaced too quickly.

The women, who are from Glasgow, were diving in Loch Fyne, off Inverary.

It is believed they are suffering from the bends and are being taken to a decompression chamber.

And in a third separate incident, two men who were diving in the Sound of Mull were taken to hospital for treatment, also suffering from the bends.
