Leciester's Remembrance
War heroes have been remembered for their bravery during wars in the 20th Century.
Survivors, dignitaries, members of the armed forces, voluntary groups, the police and members of the public gathered at the Cenotaph in Leicester's Victoria Park on Sunday. There they remembered those who died in the two world wars and later conflicts of the last century.

Members of the armed forces laid wreaths of poppies at the Cenotaph in Leicester's Victoria Park
Matting was put on the grass in Victoria Park which had been turned into a mudbath
A soldier watches from afar as prayers are said for those who died in the wars of the 20th Century
The Salvation Army band played songs of remembrance during the Sunday morning service
One RAF veteran had laid his own personal tribute to those who he knew who died in World War II
