What the Scottish Sunday papers say
What the papers say graphic
Thousands of British troops will be ordered to the Gulf this week, sending a clear message to Saddam Hussein to disarm or face military action, says Scotland On Sunday.

The Sunday Times says the first British battle troops are expected to arrive in Kuwait by the end of November.

Prime Minister Tony Blair will be told to "butt out" of BBC affairs this week, reports the Sunday Herald.

The paper says John Birt, the corporation's former director-general, admitted he enlisted the help of Mr Blair to help him stop plans for a separate Scottish flagship news programme.

The death of a young teacher has sparked a brain-bug scare at a primary scare, writes the Sunday Mail.

The controversy over the Paul Burrell affair took another twist over reports the Princess of Wales' former butler was gay, says the Sunday Post.

The Royal story is covered in the Mail on Sunday and the Sunday Express.
