Teenagers hijack city bus
Bus
Police in Birmingham are searching for three teenagers who hijacked a bus in the city.

The three youths got onto the 99 bus outside Moor Street bus station on Tuesday afternoon, and threatened the driver with a gun or knife, which was covered in a mulberry coloured cloth.

They forced him to drive the bus down Digbeth High Street, then out of the city on Coventry Road.

A struggle ensued with the driver after the bus came to a sudden standstill, and they got off the bus without managing to steal anything from him.

Gold car

When the youths boarded the bus, the driver noticed a gold coloured car parked in front of his bus.

When the bus stopped, the three teenagers made off in a gold coloured car which had been following the bus.

The driver's hand was slightly injured after being trapped in the driver's door during the struggle.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
