Two women, aged 67 and 71, were taken to the city's Royal Infirmary with stab wounds in the early hours of Boxing Day. The younger woman later died in the hosptial. The 71-year-old is in a serious, but stable, condition. Police had been called to a house in Church Street in the Manningham area of Bradford at about 0400GMT. A 26-year-old local woman has been arrested and is being questioned. Detective Superintendent Stewart Hyde, who is leading the investigation, has appealed for anyone who may have heard or witnessed anything in the Church Street area late on Christmas night or early on Boxing Day morning to contact the police. |
