President Yeltsin says he's planning a major offensive against anti-Semitism.

In an interview with state television, Mr Yeltsin said a new law would be introduced to counter anti-Semitic and extremist behaviour.

There's been widespread criticism of some members of the Russian Communist party for anti-Semitic remarks.
