An unemployed teenager is to appear in court on Saturday charged with the murder of a minicab driver on Christmas Eve.
Steven Sansom, 19, of Applegarth, New Addington, is expected to appear before Croydon magistrates in south London accused of killing 59-year-old Terence Boyle.
Mr Boyle was knifed in the throat after picking up a fare in Croydon town centre.
The father-of-two staggered to a nearby house to call for help but collapsed and died on the doorstep before the ambulance arrived.
His wife, Emelin, said her husband had been working overtime to earn enough money to buy their children Christmas presents - including a BMX bike for their 11-year-old son Matthew.
