Paris duo eye English moves

Two Paris St Germain stars could soon be on their way to the English Premiership.

Coach Artur Jorge is ready to sell defenders Alain Goma and Didier Domi, who have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

The sports newspaper, L'Equipe, claims Tottenham are ready to pay £4m for 26-year-old Goma, who has made one international appearance and was a member of the Auxerre team which won the French league title two years ago.

Spurs have, meanwhile, confirmed they are close to completing the signing of German international midfielder Steffen Freund, who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund.

Domi, 20, is a product of the PSG youth system but has recently lost his first-team place and reportedly met Newcastle coach Ruud Gullit last weekend to discuss a £3m move.

PSG are currently in the bottom half of the French league table and club president Charles Bietry resigned on Monday.

Jorge hopes to replace Goma by signing Brazilian Andre Cruz from Italian giants AC Milan.
