United States to expel Cuban diplomats

The United States has ordered three Cuban diplomats at the United Nations to leave the country for alleged espionage.

A State Department spokesman said the expulsion order followed an FBI investigation.

They have until Monday to leave.

Two other Cuban envoys at the UN returned to Cuba several weeks ago.

Last September, the FBI arrested ten people in Florida, accusing them of spying on US miltiary bases and Cuban exile groups.

An FBI spokesman refused to confirm or deny whether the two cases were linked.
