A mother in Greece, who posed as a drugs-taking prostitute in an attempt to prove her daughter was murdered by gangsters, has succeeded in reopening the investigation into the death.
The forty-four-year-old mother, Eleni Fotiadou, wept as the body of her daughter -- who a coroner said died from a heroin overdose -- was exhumed for further tests.
Mrs Fotiadou, a laboratory technician, spent six months at night disguised as a street-walker.
She collected tape recordings and other evidence from underworld figures which she says proves that her twenty-year-old daughter was raped, and then beaten to death.
