Several hundred Bolivian miners have protested in La Paz against what they say is the government's refusal to pay them redundancy and unemployment benefits.

The workers, who lost their jobs more than ten years ago, are demanding several million dollars in unpaid benefits.

The Supreme Court recently ordered the government to pay the money, but the state mining corporation, Comibol, has challenged the ruling.
