Tuesday, December 22, 1998 Published at 22:04 GMT World: Americas Ford recalls three million vehicles The Ford Motor Company is recalling more than three million of its vehicles sold in the United States and Canada for checks on possible corrosion. Theyinclude some of its top-selling models including the Lincoln Continental and the Mercury Sable. A Ford spokesman said that in less than one percent of the vehicles involved, road salt and moisture could have corroded engine and transmission supports on the subframe.
