Lebanon protests over Israeli air raid

The Lebanese government has said it will protest to the United Nations about an Israeli air raid which killed a woman and her six children.

The prime minister, Salim Hoss, described the attack as a fresh aggression against the Lebanese people.

The Israeli army has expressed regret for killing civilians during the raid on the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.

It said the building had been hit by mistake during an attack aimed at positions of the Hezbollah movement.
