The Zambian authorities have dropped charges against two prominent politicians accused of treason in connection with a failed coup attempt against President Chiluba last year.
Dean Mung'omba, of the opposition Zambia Democratic Congress, and Princess Nakatindi Wina had both spent a year in jail.
The two were granted bail last week, after a judge decided that more than one-hundred state witnesses had been unable to provide any evidence linking them to the failed coup.
