Thousands without power after storms
Fallen tree in Chatham, Kent
Some gusts in the UK reached more than 90mph
Thousands of residents in Berkshire remain without electricity following the weekend's storm.

Major faults are reported at Lambourn, Bucklebury, Warfield and Binfield.

Commuters in the county are also suffering as a result of the weather.

First Great Western is warning people of severe disruption to its services especially at Reading station.

'Difficult Monday'

Bob Major, from Southern Electric said: "Unfortunately, we estimate 1,000 homes have been off overnight and we had another fault in Warfield on Monday morning that took out another 2,000.

"We have been hard at it since first light and in fact engineers have been working throughout the night to do their best to improve the situation."

First Great Western is warning commuters to check before travelling as services are likely to be cancelled or altered at short notice.

Elaine Wilde, from First Great Western, said: "The situation remains exactly the same [as Sunday] with a lot of cancellations of our services and lots of short term alterations, so it's very difficult Monday morning for our customers unfortunately."
