Victim was attacked at Gardenmore House flats
Victim was attacked at Gardenmore House flats
Two men aged 31 and 24 are due to appear in court in County Antrim charged with the attempted murder of a man in Larne earlier this week.

The 29-year-old Catholic man was seriously injured in the attack early on Wednesday morning near the Gardenmore House flats in the town.

The two men are to appear at Larne magistrates court on Saturday.

Gerard McRandle was returning home when two men confronted him. They attacked him, kicking him repeatedly in the head.

Three in court

On Friday a mother and daughter were among three people charged with failing to give information in connection with the attack.

They were Patricia Houston, 44, and her 22-year-old daughter Kathryn - both of Shane House and Raymond Sloan, 41, from Herbert Avenue in Larne.

A detective constable told the court that he believed he could connect the accused with the charges.
