Banned boy found
North Prospect
The brothers have been banned from North Prospect
Police say they have found one of the teenage brothers who went on the run after being banned from two Plymouth neighbourhoods.

The boys, aged 17 and 14, are in full-time care and have been banned from the Keyham and North Prospect areas of the city.

They had been given three-year anti-social behaviour orders, which could result in a five-year detention if broken.

The 17-year-old has now been arrested and served with the order after being found in the city on Thursday. His brother is still missing.

Chaos and mayhem

The teenagers disappeared during a court case, which accused them of causing what a district judge described as "chaos and mayhem".

Witnesses told Plymouth magistrates how the brothers shoplifted, and harassed shopkeepers and residents over three years.

Police were searching for the boys to inform them of the orders and to return them to care homes.

Officers said there had been several sightings of the boys in the areas from which they are banned after they ran off from court.

Plymouth City Council's housing enforcement officer, John Drury, said: "Any action that's taken, including any legal action, is only done after a rigorous process of other interventions that have been tried and been unsuccessful."
