Some of the six are wanted for murder
A former German minister wanted for allegedly selling 36 army tanks for a bribe of more than £1m is thought to be living in the UK, police have said.

Dr Ludwig-Holger Pfahls, 59, is one of six fugitives accused of serious crimes abroad, who detectives believe are living in Britain and want to trace.

Dr Pfahls was said to have sold the tanks for about 3.8m deutschmarks in 1990.

Dr Pfahls, who was under-secretary of state in the German ministry of defence at the time, is wanted by German police.

The wanted list 1
Dr Ludwig-Holger Pfahls, 59, from Germany: Bribe taking
Lisa Marie Smith, 26, an Australian: Drug smuggling in Thailand
Mohamed Abdi Gulad, 21: Murder in Canada
Authorities believe he could be living anywhere in the UK and possibly using a false name.

Lisa Marie Smith, 26, an Australian, is wanted by Thai police on cannabis and amphetamine smuggling charges.

After being stopped at Bangkok airport she was released on £75,000 bail and left the country.

Floating body

She is blonde, 5ft 5in and known to travel between the UK, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.

She may have changed her name to McGuigan, police said.

Mohamed Abdi Gulad, 21, is one of four on the list wanted for murder. He allegedly beat and stabbed to death a man in Toronto, Canada, in February 2000.

The wanted list 2
Dr Reginald Roy Blythin, 54: Over a murder in Denmark
Gentian Take, 27: Murder in Albania
Ivor Tom Price Davies, 37: Over a fatal car crash in Canada
He is black, about 5ft 10in, and 10 stone, and has recently been seen in the Deptford and Woolwich areas of London.

Reginald Roy Blythin, 54, is wanted over the death of a man found floating in a harbour in Hou, Denmark, in January.

He had been shot and had his throat cut. Mr Blythin has contacts in Chester and Hampshire and is thought to keep two small dogs. He is white, slim, short-haired, and about 5ft 11in.

Gentian Take, 27, also known as Arben Gashi, was convicted in his absence of murder in Albania.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment after shooting two men in April 1999, one of whom died from his injuries.

Mountain dogs

He arrived in the UK four months after the incident and is known to visit Essex and north London. He is white and 5ft 9in.

Ivor Tom Price Davies, 37, is wanted in Canada after allegedly crashing into a car while over the drink-drive limit, causing the death of the other driver.

Davies has family links with Kent and the West Country and is known to have an interest in Pyrenean mountain dogs. He is white, and 6ft.

Detective Inspector Nigel Verrill urged anyone who might be able to help trace the fugitives to contact the Extradition and International Assistance Unit on 020 7230 3191.

He said: "They are wanted in connection with some very serious offences across the world and may well be living undetected near you."
