Three face charges after assault

Victim was attacked at Gardenmore House flats
A man and two women are due in court charged with withholding information following an attempted murder in County Antrim.

The 41-year-old man and two women, aged 22 and 44, are expected to appear at Larne Magistrates Court on Friday.

Two men are still being questioned by the police.

The three men and two women were detained in Larne on Wednesday afternoon in connection with the attack on a 29-year-old Catholic, who remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Gerard McRandle was returning home to Gardenmore House flats in Larne early on Wednesday morning when two men confronted him.

They attacked him, kicking him repeatedly in the head.
