Knife threat to mother and baby
Police car
Neither the mother or child were injured in the attack
Police in Bournemouth are hunting a man who threatened a mother and baby with a knife.

The attack happened in the NCP car park in Glen Fern Road in the town on Monday afternoon.

Detectives are describing it as a serious assault.

Dorset Police are keen to talk to a young couple who were using the lifts in the car park at the time of the attack.

Sergeant Bryan Duffy said: "This was a very serious incident and a frightening experience for the woman who was understandably fearful for her safety and that of her baby.

"The woman was very shocked, shaken and very afraid but she, nor the baby, was injured."

The assailant is described as white, aged 55 to 60, of podgy build and had thinning hair.
