Babies turn parents "green"

Seven out of ten parents said that they had become more interested in environmental issues following the birth of their children.

Research conducted by The Co-operative Bank shows that last year, for the first time, more than half of all jars of baby food came from organic sources and five per cent of parents are now buying re-usable nappies.
