Iran says Washington's position unchanged

Iran has described Washington's decision to remove Iran's name from its list of drug producing countries as a meaningless gesture.

Iranian radio said the western media was portraying the decision as political step by the United States in its attempt to improve relations with Iran but the move did not signify any change.

The radio said Iran had not been a drug producing country so its inclusion on the list of such countries had never been justified.
