Monday, December 7, 1998 Published at 13:35 GMT Entertainment Jagger model arrives in London ![]() Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger: Their marriage is reportedly in trouble The model said to be expecting rock veteran Mick Jagger's baby has arrived in London on a plane named after one of the Rolling Stones' most famous songs - Ruby Tuesday. Brazillian Luciana Morad, 28, flew into Heathrow Airport after lying low since reports that she was pregnant by the Rolling Stones singer after an eight-month affair. Jagger's wife, Jerry Hall, is reportedly filing for divorce over the affair. Ms Morad refused to discuss her reasons for returning to London, but it is thought to have been for work purposes.
Bale confirmed for American Psycho
Bale, 24, whose movies include Velvet Goldmine, will play psychopathic yuppie Patrick Bateman in the adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's novel. Willem Dafoe and Jared Leto also have leading roles. Ironically Bale was once in the running to star in the film of The Beach, a part now taken by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Stallone splashes out on villa
The 16,000sq ft house has six bedrooms and nine baths while the gated estate boasts a pool, formal gardens and a 500-foot driveway. Stallone and his wife, model Jennifer Flavin, have been living part-time at their 11.7-acre Miami estate, which is for sale for $24.7m. The couple are reportedly leaving Miami because they think it is unsafe.
Princesses in stage debut
The Royal pair danced with friends from their ballet school at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane to help raise £100,000 for Children in Crisis, a charity supported by their mother, the Duchess of York. Compere Jeremy Beadle said: "It was genuinely their idea. The two princesses wanted to help their mother, which I think is fabulous."
Psycho's slashing debut
Disney's computer-animated A Bug's Life remained in first place, but Psycho is good news for Universal, which has seen poor showings for Babe: Pig In The City and Brad Pitt's latest, Meet Joe Black. Van Sant's decision not to allow press screenings of Psycho - starring Vince Vaughn and Anne Heche - had fuelled fears that it was not up to scratch.
Huxley work set for big screen
Jacob's Hands, a manuscript the British pair wrote while in Hollywood, depicts a 1920s love triangle. Sharon Stone heard about its existence and contacted Huxley's widow for the rights. But, after reading it, she decided it was not for her, so Melissa Joan Hart will produce and star in it.
Porridge pair planning bank robbery film British comedy-writing duo Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais are to write the script for a film based on a real-life botched London bank robbery. The pair behind hit comedies such as Porridge and The Likely Lads have uncovered previously unknown details about the 1971 robbery, which involved rival groups of gangsters. "Nobody was ever caught although everybody seemed to know who they were. Two have since been killed and two are still alive somewhere," Clement said. |
