Sunday, December 6, 1998 Published at 17:29 GMT World: Africa Boost for black cricketers in South Africa The South African cricket authorities, worried at the shortage of black players in the national team, have ordered provincial teams to include black players in their squads next season. The government has criticised the almost exclusively white composition of the national team as a legacy of apartheid but the selectors have argued that not enough good black players have emerged from the provinces.
