Three West African artists were awarded the top prizes in the sixth Africar awards for musicians from Africa and the Caribbean, held in Abidjan.
Best group award went to Go du Koteba, three female singers from the Ivory Coast, while Amy Koita of Mali won an award for best traditional singer, and the Ivorian, Wes, won the best world music album award.
Kofi Olomide of the Democratic Republic of Congo won the best African music album.
