A jaguar that escaped from a zoo in western France has killed a three-year-old boy.
The boy's father was seriously injured as tried to save his son.
The jaguar was one of two that had tunnelled their way out of their cage at the zoo in Doue-la-Fontaine near Poitiers.
Both animals have been caught and killed.
The zoo has been closed until further notice.
