Places sought for fire school pupils
Summerhill Primary School fire
The cause of the fire is still unknown
Education officials have been meeting to decide where to place 92 primary pupils after their school was destroyed by fire over the weekend.

Fire investigators believe the blaze at Summerhill Primary School in Drumchapel, Glasgow, was started deliberately and police have been treating the incident as suspicious.

The building was so badly damaged that its remains were demolished after being deemed beyond repair.

Eight fire engines were called to the school at 0530BST on Sunday and about 70 firefighters battled to save the blaze.

Rehouse

Education chiefs were trying to rehouse all 92 pupils at a nearby primary school.

A council spokesman said: "We are trying to see if there is any school in the area big enough to take all the pupils."

The children were not due to return to the school until Tuesday due to a public holiday in Glasgow on Monday.
