Terrorism suspect charged
Scotland Yard
The man has been charged under the Terrorism Act 2000
A 27-year-old man has been charged with terrorism offences and will appear before magistrates in London on Monday.

Mouloud Sihali, of High Road, Ilford, has been charged under Section 57 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The charges relate to the possession of articles for the preparation, instigation and commission of terrorism acts.

He will appear before Bow Street magistrates.

Sihali was arrested on 19 September in connection with criminal matters unrelated to any alleged terrorism charges.

On 21 September he was re-arrested and charged under the Terrorism 2000 Act.

A number of arrests have recently been made across London in joint operations between the Anti-Terrorist Branch and the security service MI5.

It is understood most of those arrested were of Algerian origin.
