Poland's civil rights ombudsman, Professor Adam Buzek, has called on the government to provide more help for the poor after further deaths from cold weather.

Eighty-three people have died since the cold snap began in mid-November.

Temperatures have dropped to as low as minus twenty-six degrees Celsius.
